Area of application: Ideal for labeling unit stacks after shrink tunnel. From canning industry labeling, to milling industry labeling, to labeling of any collection carton, shrink-wrapped unit stock.

Principle of operation: The equipment is primarily designed for placement above a driven roller conveyor. The arrival of the product on the conveyor signal to the labeling head is signaled by the object sensor. According to the appropriate delay setting, the Herma applicator pushes the pre-printed label directly under the waiting vacuum sheet. The sheet holds the label on the non-sticky side using a vacuum. The pneumatic telescope then moves in a vertical direction toward the surface to be labeled and places the label on the surface. By sensing the surface of the product, the device removes the vacuum and the label sticks to the surface. Simultaneously with the detection, the telescope immediately retracts and waits for further labels to be pushed out. For small labels, only a vacuum is sufficient for gripping, but for larger labels of 80-150 mm, a so-called auxiliary air also presses the label against the vacuum sheet during pushing.
