How does it work?
A UV laser marking machine is an industrial marking machine that usually works with an ultraviolet laser with a wavelength of 355 nm. The essence of this is that it does not “burn” many materials, but changes them very gently, with little heat load on the surface. For this reason, it is often called cold marking. Due to the shorter wavelength, a very small focal point can be achieved, making it suitable for small, sharp, high-contrast inscriptions.
The main advantages of UV lasers:
Fiber lasers are a strong choice mainly for metals and certain plastics. CO₂ lasers are good for marking/cutting wood, paper, cardboard, acrylic, glass, leather and many organic materials. UV laser, on the other hand, is really useful where sensitive, thin, heat-deformable or difficult-to-mark materials are involved.
